UNIPROMET

For over three decades UNIPROMET has specialised in the production delivery and installation of: equipment for road protection, noise protection panels, and cold-formed profiles. It consistently makes products that improve the social quality and safety. The company processes over 80,000 tons per annum (6,500 tons per month) of steel and aluminium. Most of the (steel) products are galvanised in UNIPROMET’s own hot- dip galvanising plant. Since 2003, UNIPROMET was certified for the production of steel guardrails in compliance with the RAL RG 620 standard. The company became a member of the “Gutegemeinschaft Society of Good Quality” and of the “Studiegeselschaft Development Society” which provided it with a competitive advantage throughout Europe. Having qualified for ISO 9001, CE, AASHTO and GOST certificates enables UNIPROMET to export over 55% of the production to the markets of 30 countries – including Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Romania, Bulgaria, Russia, Turkey, Senegal, Libya, and all the countries originating from Yugoslavia.

Using the knowledge of the ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy paired with a good managerial concept, Mr. Milisav Novicic established in 1989 the UNIPROMET trading company. Years of inflation and business transition, together with entrepreneurial risk-taking, have opened the way (compliant with the JUS standard) for investments in the industry focused on production of steel protective fences.
The synergy between our staff’s knowledge and the owner’s support, enabled certification according to RAL. That enabled the optimal production and ensured increased sales in exports and the conquest of new markets. So UNIPROMET positioned itself as a regional leader. Fast turnover of the inventory was key to financing continued growth. By purchasing a hot-dip galvanising plant UNIPROMET has completed the production process and ensured a competitive advantage for itself.
We have expanded regionally by establishing a branch in Kraljevo (Serbia), by increasing the volume of trade and by expanding our production program to cold-formed profiles and steel structures. Investment in fixed assets is matched by UNIPROMET’s constant efforts to increase the number of qualified staff. Investing in human resources is the backbone of development because only satisfied employees contribute to the success of a company.
