Over the last 30 years, MTK has grown into one of the leading European manufacturers of carbide and steel tools. The range includes a wide selection of products used in high-volume industries: wire and sheet metal processing, the auto and aviation industries, the screw industry, the pharmaceuticals. We are very proud of the company’s results in recent years as our production is focused on specialised tools according to customer requirements (very demanding in terms of quality and dimensional tolerance). MTKs tools are used in the production of parts installed in Formula 1 and in “Dry” aircraft. By investing in new technologies, equipment, and human resources we strive to be competitive and constantly look after the environment as the company develops. We observe ISO 9001: 2015 and 14001: 2015 standards.

COMPANY DEVELOPMENT AND ENTREPRENEURIAL STORY
MTK was founded in January 1990. Using its many years of experience in the production of tools of hard metal, the owner Mihailo Selakovic has steered the production towards specialised tools in full compliance with customer’s specialised needs. In 2006, MTK bought the bankrupt company “Tvrdi metal”, which was part of the larger company “Prvi partizan” Uzice. In a very short time, MTK has become a modern factory. Among its 95 employees, there are many professionals and highly educated staff of various profiles. The company uses the cutting edge equipment made by the best known and most important world manufacturers, control and measuring devices, create conditions to meet even the most demanding requirements in terms of complexity, accuracy, and tools quality. MTK strives to prove it is worth the trust it has gained by constantly engaging in winning new products and maintaining and improving the product quality. We pay particular attention to the procurement of modern CNC equipment in order to improve the quality of our products and services. In 2012 MTK bought the bankrupt company “Rujno” and in May 2013 our entire production and administration moved to a new refurbished building of 2500m2.
CONTRIBUTION TO SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
MTK is constantly working to improve the quality of working conditions. Over the last 16 years, the number of employees has increased significantly from 24 in 2005 to 97 in 2022. The average salary is on the rise and the working conditions are better than the regional. The company has two staff members with disabilities and 17 women. Women also own 39.1% of the company. MTK has four sectors: technical, commercial, financial, and quality sector. Two sectors are headed by women: the Financial and the Quality Sector. Within the Technical Sector, there is also a Design and Development Department, which is constantly improving our products and technological processes. MTK is accredited for dual education and has very good cooperation with the Technical School in Uzice, and with the NES. NES and MTK conducts training of staff at the request of the employer. In order to protect the environment MTK also observes standard 14001: 2015 which obliges us to sort and recycle waste and to reduce the emission of pollutants into water air and land. MTK also owns a solar power plant for its own needs and thus reduces the electricity cost.
