MOJA SOBA’s main product is Boxspring Bed. It is a type of French bed that has an additional shock-absorbing layer under the mattress. This part of the bed is called the box, hence the name. We cover the market of Western Europe, and our most important buyers are from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The bed is not challenging in the technological sense but it is very design-wise. Its biggest competitive challenge and advantage is the use of quality materials and design.

COMPANY DEVELOPMENT AND ENTREPRENEURIAL STORY
The company was established in 2012. Its founder and owner Branko Petrovic (together with his family) started producing sponges first and then included mattresses. The logical consequence was the production of beds that we make today. We have registered our own brand of “Richfield mattresses” based on the practices of the world’s leading manufacturers. Competition in this part of the furniture industry is huge and comes from the markets of Poland and from the Scandinavian countries. By investing in design and quality and listening to recommendations from every one of our customers over the years, we have completed and expanded our capacities. Today the demand for our beds is constant and, as a rule, exceeds our capacities at any given moment. Any further development would require significant finance.
CONTRIBUTION TO SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
MOJA SOBA is currently engaged in the dual education program. Together with the High School for Forestry we are offering internship to students. This is a good practice but the students’ educational profiles are too broad. This reduces the possibility of quality training for particular jobs in the production. The students do not have adequate knowledge to work independently upon graduation. Through this program we will try to educate profiles in cooperation with the Education Ministry and the school. Our aim is to train the students to be ready for independent work after finishing school. We plan to install a solar power plant on the roof of our production hall and to use the generated power for our own needs. This would create conditions for sustainable work without wasting the resources. We are also FSC certified and we strive to procure all wooden raw materials from renewable forests. We need to raise awareness about sustainability among primary producers and wood processors, to be able to offer eco-friendly goods on foreign market. It goes without saying that forest-preservation is of the utmost importance amid general shortage of sustainable industrial wood.
