Pharmanova began its development path in 1996 with the production of pharmaceutical brands. In 2021 it ended up being in the TOP 10 domestic companies by turnover in pharmacies. We were a leader in the sale of syrups, pregnancy tests, and menopausal products. We were also innovative and brave enough to be the first to directly place our product Magnesium 300 Direct on the Serbian market. We have been a leader in the magnesium market for a full decade. Major European pharmaceutical companies recognized some of our brands, so syrups from our development “Lekovito carstvo” and “Bronhoklir” are now owned by the German company Stada (Hemofarm). During three decades of business Pharmanova offered its loyal customers products in the form of capsules, tablets, syrups, creams, drops, solutions, vagitoria, and handkerchief. Only to crown its development path with the product Alixir 400 PROTECT, whose effects have been confirmed in several preclinical and clinical trials, and Avaricon HEMOR cream with the European commission on medical devices.

COMPANY DEVELOPMENT AND ENTREPRENEURIAL STORY
Pharmanova was founded in 1991 as one of the first private companies in the pharmaceutical industry. To this day Pharmanova is a 100% owned domestic company. In the beginning, the company’s activity included the wholesale of drugs and pharmaceuticals. In 1996 it began manufacturing and promoting its products, with the development of herbal products and cosmetics, which were lacking in the pharmaceutical sector. Over time our business has transformed. In 2008 our wholesale was sold and a few years after our pharmacy chain was sold as well. But Pharmanova continued to exist through the production, promotion, and sale of its brands in the dietary supplements and medicines field, medical supplies, and cosmetics. Its products are present in Serbia and the region. Bearing in mind our capacities for financing development, we have adjusted, following the technological, regulatory, and capacity requirements. Our system is designed and operated in accordance with the guidelines of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) for drug production. We believe that the product quality, safety and efficacy, and its ethical promotion find their way to the customers. And Pharmanova is recognized as a company that responsibly does business.
CONTRIBUTION TO SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
Pharmanova contributes to the sustainable development of Serbia by continuously operating for 31 years. It operates as an employer, and loyal partner to the pharmaceutical and health sector of Serbia, but also as an exporter to the region and the foreign market. As an employer in a specific and highly regulated field, we must provide an employee structure that meets pharmaceutical, medical and technological requirements, as well as legally prescribed norms for our country. This means that we have active training and development in these areas. Since we are a manufacturer, we pay attention to the prevention of pollution, through waste management and wastewater procedures. Gender equality-wise, both genders are equally represented in ownership and employee structure – we believe that giving preference to anyone based on their gender is an outdated practice.
