Our main products are deep-frozen raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, cherries, and plums. We export up to 10,000 tons of deep-frozen fruit annually and our main challenge is to remain competitive in the market. We respond to the challenge by maintaining the consistent quality of our products. Our priorities include investing in the production equipment and thus maintaining the product quality while keeping our staff motivated.
By 2020 we’ve launched a new type of fruit production – lyophilization, an advanced form of fruit processing because we believe it will enhance the business.

COMPANY DEVELOPMENT AND ENTREPRENEURIAL STORY
After many years of experience in other companies, the owner and founder of Z.A. FRUIT Zivana Todorovic decided to establish her own firm in 2002. As the volume of business increased over the years, the existing capacities (number of staff, innovation of production equipment) have also been expanded.
Our foreign clients have recognised the quality of our products and that ensured new long-term partnerships for us every year. We are constantly improving our production and product quality through various investments in the production process. Our main markets are Western Europe (Germany, Austria, France) America, and Russia. We are mainly financed from our own resources and partly from bank loans.
CONTRIBUTION TO SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
Z.A.FRUIT employs mostly workers from the surrounding towns and municipalities. As their number increased by the year we contributed much to the region’s economy since many of our subcontractors are from the region.
By opening jobs for candidates with higher education levels, we facilitate the employment of educated youth reluctant to seek a career in urban centres. Bonuses and rewards are among the motivation boosters offered to our staff and we are among very few companies with 90% women in the staff structure.
