D-COMPANY is a specialised company for the production of moulds for the rubber industry. Our moulds are used in the production of scooters and motorcycles and also in passenger, freight, and agro programs. We also produce moulds for inner tires, containers for vulcanisation of tires, moulds for footwear. In 2017, we will launch production of parts for hydro power plants – housings, impellers, nozzles, inlet/outlet pipelines. Production is fully based on customer requirements and their design, which gives our customers a wide range of material and technology choices. Experience and machine park give us the opportunity to respond to various customer requirements, not only in the field of production, but also in providing technical solutions and performing demanding machining (milling, scraping, eroding, bending, welding, laser cutting and engraving, 3D printing in metal). We export to 20 countries mostly to France, Spain, Russia, Poland, Norway. Our main buyers are world renown tyre manufacturers (Michelin, Kama, Trelleborg, Too) and Tigar Tyres from Serbia.

COMPANY DEVELOPMENT AND ENTREPRENEURIAL STORY
The founder and owner of D-COMPANY, Dragan Ciric, entered the company in 1974, acquired the first lathes in 1990, and founded D-COMPANY in 1992 for the production of metal parts according to customer requirements. Cooperation with Tigar (Pirot) started the following year, and the production of complete moulds started in 1995. D-COMPANY’s cooperation with Michelin was realized in 2005 and since then, we have been working on intensive improvement of our mould production with Michelin’s support training and quality control. A new production plant was opened in Pirot in 2015, and in 2021 production automation was launched. In its constant search of opportunities to diversify production, D-COMPANY reached customers in Norway. With them we engaged in the production of turbines and parts for hydropower plants since 2017. With very few exceptions, D-COMPANY financed its development from its own funds without loans.
CONTRIBUTION TO SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
Over the decades D-COMPANY has continuously and systematically increased its productivity and the number of jobs by investing in technological upgrades and staff development. D-Company currently employs 337 workers, mostly young and the average age of our staff is 38. Our average gross salary is above the average in our municipality and shows an upward trend. Compared to 2018 D-COMPANY’s average gross salary is 11% higher today. Compared to 2019 and 2020 it is just over 5% up. Municipality of Babusnica is one of the least developed municipalities in Serbia. D-COMPANY’s policy focuses on own development while contributing to the development of the region. Despite possibilities to expand or relocate to more developed regions (from where it would be easier to transport goods and to hire skilled staff) D-COMPANY remains in Babusnica and thus contributes to narrowing regional inequality in Serbia. Our business processes are guided by the principles of sustainability and long-term care for the environment. D-COMPANY clearly demonstrates a friendly and responsible attitude towards the environment by complying to ISO 14001 standard. The company is also committed to more efficient resource management. Meeting social needs is at the core of our business. D-COMPANY pays great attention to improving the quality of life in the municipality of Babusnica through various socially responsible activities – cooperation with the Red Cross (promotion of voluntary blood donation) and with the UNICEF. We also sponsor new equipment for the local Health Centre, and we organise indoor soccer competitions, festivals, and take part in humanitarian campaigns.
