DMV is based in Nis and has been producing professional LED electronics for over 30 years. Our devices are used in traffic (from speed signs to weather stations), sports (from football to cricket) and industry (from watches to displays for counting injuries at work). We export 80% of the production to more than 90 countries from New Zealand, Russia, the Middle East to America, Mexico and further south to Chile. We also export closer to home, mostly to the UK, the Nordic countries, Poland, the Czech Republic, Spain, Austria and the region. Our products feature high reliability, quality of workmanship, good visibility in all weather conditions and long life. In the last three years, we have introduced more than 10 new products: from safer pedestrian crossing systems, tunnel lighting signs and compact traffic lights – to web-based remote control software, punching and cutting materials, robotic welding system, plasticising line and others.

COMPANY DEVELOPMENT AND ENTREPRENEURIAL STORY
DMV was established in 1991 in a garage by a very small team. Initially, the company was engaged in the production of industrial electronics and sports traffic lights. With the increase in demand for LED traffic signals in our region
(due to the growing development of road infrastructure) we introduced new groups of product. Today, in over 10,000m2 of space, a fully completed technological production process takes place.
The company has a fully equipped mechanics department, which is one of the best-equipped workshops south of Belgrade (metal cutting laser, precision tools, cutting materials, robotic system for welding, plasticization line and others) and departments for: electronics manufacturing, testing and assembly, optical laboratory, procurement, sales, hardware and software development.
Over 200 our staff take care of quality and understanding of the market requirements on a daily basis. DMV provides answers to the market challenges through constant product innovation and improvement. As a comparative advantage we single out our flexible production that allows us to customise our devices to market demand.
CONTRIBUTION TO SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
DMV is fully aware how important it is to include young people in a real work environment and enable them to master skills during high school education. Thus, we entered the dual education program since its launch (2019/2020). Our students spend couple of days a week on training and acquiring new skills, and we aim to recruit the best among them. During the work-study schooling, the students of the “Electrician course” acquire skills in the basic electronic assemblies, in the way of scheming devices and installations, and in mounting panels in devices. They also learn the basic light parameters, and that includes using hand tools – blanckers, screwdrivers and cutters, as well as soldering irons.
Our students are introduced to the Computer Control Technician (CNC) machine (used for CNC punches, hydraulic press presses, fibre laser machines, and hydraulic shears). Students profiled for Locksmith-Welder skills are being trained to work with various tools: grinders, sanders, welding machines and more. All students undergo theoretical and practical training with professional mentors who introduce them to the job and provide the necessary information for work. DMV sees a chance for young people to become independent through “learning through work”, and we hope that more entrepreneurs will realise the programme’s importance.
