PRODUCTS/SERVICES

The main products of our company are organically frozen, dried, porridge programmes (raspberry, blackberry, cherry, plum, strawberry, apple, pear, quince, dzanarika). We have achieved respectable results by relying on continuous staff training, the monitoring of technological innovations, listening to the market, visits to other companies, and consulting with them. As a result, we are able to base our business entirely on exports. Warm fruit processing is our latest innovation project, financed from our own funds. This type of processing quickly conquered the baby-food market. We are proud of the entire range of our products. We aim to maintain the high quality of our product in each of the production phases (from the field to the table) by using exclusively organic ingredients. That is also what our clients demand. They want products that comply with the organic production requirements. The markets we cover are the EU, the USA, and Japan. All our business partners are equally important to us and we adjust our business policy to the standards and requirements of our customers.

COMPANY DEVELOPMENT AND ENTREPRENEURIAL STORY

The founders of the company are father and son, Zivota and Nenad Janicijevic. Their first venture was organic fruit production. Once they’ve realised that in the regions of Toplica and Brus there is a potential for growing and spreading fruit crops (raspberry, blackberry, cherry, plum, strawberry, apple, pear, quince, dzanarika), they decided to offer the local fruit growers a safe placement of fruit. This solved many problems and concerns for producers who hitherto couldn’t secure the purchase of and good prices for their crops. In the course of the creation and expansion of our company, we have grown gradually, in line with the requirements of the market and of our customers. Dried organic plums were the first of our products to its their way to the market. The quality of the product has won the trust of our first customers who are still satisfied with our supply. A key moment in the expansion of our production was the feedback from our customers, who increasingly demanded new products. We responded to the demands, and that required a lot of effort, financial investment, and more staff. Balancing the production capacity with the demand was challenging, and we managed to survive by securing finances only from our own resources. MIDI ORGANIC has grown into one of the leading companies in the field of organic production by running the company as if it was a household.

MIDI ORGANIC’S objective is to keep the local fruit growers on its side (primarily young people) by offering them a secure existence and a safe environment for starting families. In addition, the company offers professional development programmes by providing the young growers with an opportunity to experience work in the business environment. The success of MIDI ORGANIC is also the success of its staff who perform well, motivated by good earnings.
