PRODUCTS/SERVICES

IDAS d.o.o. produces special high-precision parts from various types of metals, mainly for the pharmaceutical industry. The parts are produced using the latest models of CNC machines for metal cutting. We make individual parts according to the request and technical documentation of our clients. This type of production requires high organisation in the production itself because all parameters are subject to constant dynamic changes. It is necessary to provide adequate tools, technology, and raw materials within the shortest possible time frame. We produce parts from various types of stainless steel, aluminum, and steel. We rely on our long-standing experience, know-how, and state-of-the-art technology in order to stay competitive in the global market.
Our team consists of young and dynamic staff which is constantly improving. IDAS has been exporting its entire production to foreign markets for 20 years and we have become a 100% export company.

COMPANY DEVELOPMENT AND ENTREPRENEURIAL STORY

IDAS was established on July 1, 1971, as an independent craft shop. Production was performed on automatic lathes, and IDAS was mostly a subcontractor in scraping parts. As early as 1973 we have mastered the production of accessories for machine tools, and special equipment was procured for this type of production. The production of the accessories became soon IDAS’s basic program. In mid-1994 IDAS mastered the production of creep, gear, and special gearboxes, and until 2006 those were recognisable products of our company. IDAS has been 100% privately owned for five decades (several generations) and today employs 160 people. The company’s concept, development strategy, and capacities are focused on export cooperative business: we offer processing services on CNC and conventional machines, compliant with the client’s technical documentation. At IDAS we can offer a wide range of high-precision machining. Owing to our longstanding tradition, we can offer today the know-how and experience needed for making various demanding and high-precision parts.
IDAS has been in active technological expansion for years and is constantly investing in new equipment and human resources, in order to raise cooperation with our partners to the highest technological level.

CONTRIBUTION TO SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

Over the years our company raises its productivity by introducing technical improvements, state-of-the-art equipment, and tools. Every year our company employs more workers.
In Serbia, women and men have equal employment opportunities, while our staff includes people of diverse ethnic backgrounds (Serbs, Yugoslavs, Croats, Hungarians, Ruthenians, Germans).
At IDAS women are in charge of the production planning process, and our control manager and financial manager are women. The company makes constant efforts to train its staff, both in the workplace and outside of it. We have maintained and developed the profile of mechanical engineer even through the most difficult times, despite the major challenges this profile faced over the last 25 years.
We are located in a small municipality in a small town (population 4,000) and we are proud that our staff earns as much as their peers in big cities. In this way, we contribute to reducing regional disparities. In 2013 we introduced new environmental standards, and we aim to reduce our “carbon footprint” in all segments of our operation. So, we use machine emulsions that need to be changed in 2-3 year intervals, unlike the previous 6-month intervals. We use new state-of-the-art machines consuming far smaller amounts of energy. The complete lighting fixtures in the company are modern industrial LED lighting, with a distinct energy benefit. We recycle paper, glass, and packaging.
