PRODUCTS/SERVICES

Established in 2001 MIKROELEKTRONIKA designs and manufactures development tools for working with microcontrollers. Whether it’s do-it-yourself weekend ventures or professional projects that can bring billions in profits – our tools allow electronics enthusiasts to fully demonstrate their know-how and creativity while enjoying work and also saving time and energy for their other passions. We have over 2,000 products that we export to 136 countries around the world (with the help of our online store and a global network of over 50 distributors). Most of our clients are professional engineers from small and large companies (60%), followed by universities and other educational institutions (20%), and hobbyists (20%).
With MIKROELEKTRONIKA the design, production, sales, forwarding, marketing, and customer support are offered under one roof. Two production lines with state-of-the-art machines are at the core of our operation.

COMPANY DEVELOPMENT AND ENTREPRENEURIAL STORY

Nebojsa Matic, the founder and the CEO of the company at first began applying his theoretical knowledge of microcontrollers in practice. He started making development systems manually in the 1990s while he was still a university student. At the time, due to the circumstances in the country (high inflation, unfavourable economic environment, few jobs available), his choice was: either to leave the country or to start own business. He was young and with no money, so he opted for the latter. Mr Matic launched the “MikroElektronika” magazine, where he met his first long-term associates. They still work together today. After the magazine, he turned to publishing books that he wrote and marketed himself, and then his company began making the hardware he wrote about in his books. Over the 5 years that followed, the number of books and the hardware increased. The proceeds from the sales paved the way for the production of his first compilers. The turning point for MIKROELEKTRONIKA was its decision to turn towards export and improvement of processes in the company. At MIKROELEKTRONIKA we can proudly say today that we are among the very few companies in the world that make one new product a day. We are focused on standardisation and saving time. The last 20 years of the company’s work are certainly marked by dynamism, transparency, constant progress, and innovation.

CONTRIBUTION TO SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

The projects we have worked on in accordance with the sustainable development goals include:
– Kindergarten help
– Ladies’ project in the embedded industry where we empowered girls to start working in the embedded industry
– Monthly humanitarian campaigns within the company to help families or children
– Humanitarian tournaments to help families or children
– Promoting recycling within the company, reducing water consumption
– Investing in innovation: one new product per day, over 12 trademarks protected in the US, the EU and China, one patent protected in the US, and three new patents pending
– 80% of the staff working on the development
– Investing in education equally for all. An example is our training of production staff in France to service machines.
