PRODUCTS/SERVICES

INMOLD PLAST’s owner used his experience in the field of injection moulding, his engineering knowledge, and his networks of contacts to start work in a field in which only Germany Switzerland and Austria were recognised until then – the field of tool-mould making and of IML robots for automating plastic injection moulding. Further, INMOLD offers a tool finishing service, a dimensional machining service and an injection moulding service. Before the Corona virus pandemic a global movement had emerged aiming to reduce the impact of plastic on the environment. In this respect numerous regulations have been introduced in the EU. We have been looking since then for a product with even less plastic (used as raw material), in order to meet the EU’s environmental goals while protecting the quality of food inside packaging. INMOLD PLAST aims also to protect its customers in terms of lower consumption of harmful materials. The goals we’ve set for ourselves and projections of a positive trend in reducing the use of harmful plastic in industries, led us to design and develop the thinnest bucket in the world, a 1 litre bucket. Unlike 34g standard that is applied globally, our bucket now weighs only 24.5g. Example, IML robot: Automated scrap rejection.

COMPANY DEVELOPMENT AND ENTREPRENEURIAL STORY

As a young graduate mechanical engineer, Goran Jankovic started his career over 30 years ago in the Prvi Partizan company. In 1994 with his associates, he founded the ATM company specialised in injection moulding of plastic packaging. INMOLD PLAST aspired to establish relations with European companies on equal footing and as a result the company appeared in the “K fair” in Dusseldorf in 2019 (as the only participant from Serbia). The event is a recognized leader among fairs in the plastics industry. Owing to this fair, European customers have developed respect for INMOLD LAST treating it as an equal among the leaders in our field. INMOLD PLAST has established a fruifull longstanding cooperation with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade. The company’s plan is to expand the cooperation in order to contribute to the new academic program – Industry 4.0. INMOLD also saw the growing number of foreign companies in Serbia as an opportunity to market its products to customers who respect quality. Goran Jankovic and INMOLD have won many awards and the most important among them is from 2022: the “Golden Order”. It was awarded on the occasion of the Serbia’s Statehood Day for “commitment and contribution to the economy”. In cooperation with Addiko Bank we significantly expanded our production resources in 2020 through the largest increase in staff number since the establishment of the company.

CONTRIBUTION TO SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

INMOLD was the first to introduce dual education in schools in Serbia (in cooperation with the Technical School in Pozega) for the following fields: Locksmith Welder and Machining Operator. Today, INMOLD cooperates in the field of education with the Technical School in Kosjeric, the Priboj Technical School, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Kraljevo. We also help other companies to start the dual education system while in a much simpler way than we did. All the regulations in respect of the dual education were only being developed when we started. Every May we host the “Open Day” when our guests include even children from preschool institutions. We also provide scholarships to students at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade and Kraljevo. We want those students to return to us and start a professional career in our team, although they are not obligated to do so. When choosing best candidates for the scholarship among the student it is extremely important for us that girls are included, and we are enrolling more of them by the year. This was not the case in the initial years of the dual education since we operate in the metal industry where women rarely pursue career. In terms of innovation our company is constantly improving the existing and developing new products in line with the customer requirements. The most room for improvement can be found in the field of lower consumption of harmful materials (plastics) and in the field of automation and digitalisation. Our lasting commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals is reflected in the decision by the Innovation Fund of the Republic of Serbia to allocate its funds on two occasions to INMOLD PLAST.
